Aims and Scope
Asia Business and Service Innovation (ABSI) is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal published twice yearly (June and December) by the Academic Society of Food and Service Management. The journal serves as a forum for rigorous scholarship on business, management, and service innovation in Asian contexts, welcoming contributions from researchers worldwide who study Asia or whose work has implications for Asian business practice.
The journal publishes original research articles, conceptual papers, case studies, and reviews across a broad range of topics:
- Business innovation and entrepreneurship in Asia
- Service management and customer experience
- Hospitality, tourism, and foodservice management
- Big data analytics, text mining, and AI applications in business research
- Technology adoption and digital transformation
- Consumer behavior and marketing in Asian markets
- Cross-cultural and comparative studies in Asian business contexts
- Sustainable and responsible business practices
History
ABSI was launched in June 2024 with its inaugural issue. Since then, the journal has maintained a strict semiannual publication schedule, releasing issues every June and December. Across four issues published in its first two years, ABSI has presented 31 peer-reviewed research articles from authors representing institutions in South Korea, Indonesia, India, China, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, and the United States.
